DAISY (THE APP PEDDLER)

Looks harmless. Ain’t.

THREAT TYPE

THREAT LEVEL

Daisy rolls into town with a smile and a shiny new app, promisin’ shortcuts, upgrades, and miracle fixes. Folks install without thinkin’, and by the time they notice somethin’s off, their data’s already gone. She don’t break in loud – she gets invited.

Fake app scams involve malicious software disguised as legitimate apps. Outlaws like Daisy upload lookalike apps to unofficial stores or send download links through emails, ads, or social posts. Once installed, these apps can steal personal data, track activity, bombard users with ads, or quietly install additional malware in the background.
